Her heart’s soundtrack is a cacophonied hoya sizzling with sonidos latinos: Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Reggaeton. New York City, la vida en familia, underrepresented voices, and a next to “normal” way of experiencing the world, inspire her stories.
When she’s not busy teaching and writing, you can find her sipping on cafesitos (her favorite: un cortadito), leyendo libros para niños, and scheming her next empanada snack break.
Jasminne holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing for Young People from Lesley University. She lives in New York con su familia.
